OC Projects Ltd was delighted to secure order with existing client in a food environment to refurbish and fitout their Canteen facilities and Washroom Toilet Facilities.

The Challenge:

Being a food manufacturer stringent QMS apply with high hygiene standards, codes and methods of practise.  Careful planning and considerations, working with constraints and compliance issues were significant in the initial stages with minimal disruption to existing daily activities.

The Project:

Canteen refurbishment works

Included isolations and stripout to existing lighting, electrics, plumbing and making safe. Locally freeze existing radiators.  Removal of existing suspended ceiling grid and tiles complete.  Uplift of existing vinyl floor coverings.  Design create build and install of new Canteen. Install new suspended ceiling to complete area. Supply and install new LED recessed down lighters with feature lights over breakfast bar and emergency lights.  Electrical works included PIR sensor controlled lighting, spurs for electrical appliances.  3 compartment dado trunking with stainless steel sockets and USB charging outlet ports. Air conditioning and full decoration throughout. Prepare sub floor where required and supply and lay new luxury vinyl  wood plank strip flooring.  Appliances included integral fridges and combi stainless microwave/ovens.  Accessories included stainless steel countertop bin chutes cut into quartz worktop for both segregated general and recycling wastes. Plumbing works for new sinks, taps and wastes. Instant hot water tap and drainer unit cut into quartz worktop.  Feature wall.

Washroom Toilet Refurbishment works included:

Isolations and stripout to existing lighting, electrics, plumbing and making safe.  Removal of existing suspended ceiling grid and tiles complete.  Uplift of existing vinyl floor coverings.  Supply and install new suspended ceiling and grid complete to area.  Full decoration throughout.  Construct new electrics cupboard boxing in existing electrics distribution board with access door.  New LED recessed downlighters and emergencies. Manufacture, supply and install new cubicles and matching vanity units with concealed cisterns. Supply and fit new wall tiling to area. Install ventilation. Supply and install white china sanitaryware complete with associated plumbing works.  Prepare subfloor and supply and lay new slip resistant safety vinyl flooring.  Stainless steel accessories to compliment.
